Looks to be working totally fine for me on XI 2012 r2.9, what version are you running? I created a user, with user access and read only access. I then assigned that user's contact to two random services through the CCM, and one random host, they all showed when logging into the user. Make sure that if it is a new user you completely log in, don't masquerade until you have logged in at least once. Also, be sure you are applying configuration after making changes in the CCM.

User contact is working fine for me too. Contact group is not working. If I assign one or more users to a contact group, then assign a host to the contact group through bulk modification tool. When the contact logs in he is not able to the specific host linked to contact group. (but able to see services if assigned to contact grp via bulk modification, only host is not working)

Hmm, that's working on my end as well. Just to clear up some things since it seems you might be a bit confused. You assign a contact, to a contact group or objects, you can only log in as a user, and the user does not physically get assigned to anything only it's contact.

This appears to be a separate issue. Let's stick to the original issue and if you want you can open a new thread for this new one. That just keeps things organized.
