Just had this "database repair" issue crop up again on my prod server with 2014R1.0. Last time I didn't think to screenshot the error, but I got it this time. This is what I got when going to service status summary. I let it sit a few minutes this time and it appears the attempt to repair was successful because everything came back, but this is the second time we've ever gotten this issue, and both times were in versions of XI 2014, first with beta release RC3 and now in the prod release R1.0. All is working, but I wanted to update this post since I have new info for you.

Yes, this looks somewhat annoying but it is better than having a blank page with no indication about what went wrong. This happens when the nagios cannot connect to the database for some reason. The problem is that this is a dashlet, so you would get this message repeated when the page refreshes... We may change this in the future if we find a better way of handling this error.
