Usually, in XI, you just use the global event handlers component config page as you can use scripts and macros from the component.
Though you are welcome to use your own handler script by configuring nagios.cfg and the CCM commands, but you will then be unable to use the global event handler component.

Changed global event handler configuration in nagio.conf and rebooted system

Error message for monitoring engine went away.
Error message for External Command Interface went away.
Nas10 host definition now gone from host details.
Passive check test is functioning.

Global Event Handler which is supposed to send an snmptrap to localhost is not working but I'll take that up in other thread (tomorrow).

Thanks You Very Much Abrist. My apologies for the fumble. I really appreciate the assistance.

Then I shall remove the reference to "nms_global_host_change_handler.sh" from CCM Commands and Nagios.cfg.

I'll test this further tomorrow and write to you guys on the other Global Event Handler thread.

Please feel free to close this one.

Once again, thank you very much.
