Steps Taken:

I tried Updating again to 2011R1.5 which took care of the permission in the /usr/local/nagiosxi/cron .

I deleted the Windows Server and Desktop Wizards and uploaded the new ones using the urls below through the NagioXi "Manage Config Wizard.


Outcome:


I go through the wizard, it passes the * Waiting for configuration verification.................." after a long time, but only the host is added with No services. I double checked to see if the service cfg file was even created in the /usr/local/nagios/etc/services, but there is no service cfg file there.

I just checked the "Nagios Core Config Manager" and the services are there!, but they show up as "Sync Missed".

That typically means that there is misconfigured service somehwere.

Goto the tab on the top labeled Admin. Then under the Monitoring Config side menu select 'Config Snapshots'.

On the latest snapshot, (it should be the one at the top, and it should also be highlighted in red) there should be a little paper icon. Click that icon. This will download a txt file to your local machine, could you post the output of that .txt file. (Quickly run through it to make sure there isn't any sensitive information in it first.)

fyi, I just emailed to the email address provided and got an email saying:
Email support for Nagios XI is only available to customers with an
active support/maintenance plan. Your email was automatically
rejected because our system shows that you are not subscribed to a
support/maintenance plan.
Please let me know if you received my email. My email address is the same I have registered through this forum, and should be the email on the account. Thanks.

Recap:

1. I run the Monitoring Wizard
2. Hosts is created, but NagiosXi gives me the following error message:
No matching services found - showing matching hosts instead.
3. I look in "Admin > Core Config Manager", do a search under "Services" and the services are listed there with "Synced Missed". I click on "Apply Configuration", but it doesn't get applied. Meaning, they still remain in Core Config Manager, as "Synced Missed".
