What he is saying is that it is built off of Python.
If Solaris or AIX has the Python libraries installed, theoretically you should be able to complie the NCPA agent.
Here is IBM's toolbox page which shows the python entries about mid way down.

Sorry dont have the skillset for this. Nagios is the best party to sort out this issue. This is not going to go away.

Thanks. We only compile once and distribute the binaries to the other boxes.
So I suppose every unix box must have the Python runtime to use the agent.
This is a big issue as none of the boxes have python installed.
