Nope, that thread didn't help.

Still no joy.

I think I came across this same problem last week with another customer.

First can you please confirm if this behaviour occurs with the nagiosadmin account.
Then create a test account and let us know if this behaviour occurs.

I believe that it's related to the contact.
Configure > Core Configuration Manager
Alerting > Contacts
Can Submit Commands.
If it's set to Skip it will be inheriting this from contact templates. Check the templates the contact uses.
If it's set to Off or Null then this may be the cause of your problems.

Same deal - no joy.

I noticed that you have "nagios" group set on "nagios.cmd". It should be "nagcmd". Run the following commands to change permissions:

Code: Select all

chown nagios:nagcmd /usr/local/nagios/var/rw
chown nagios:nagcmd /usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd
Let me know if this fixed your issue.

Did that. Tried again, still no joy.

Perhaps we need to move this to our email ticketing system to further troubleshoot the issue. Can you send your profile to [email protected]?

Admin->System Profile->Download Profile

I didn't see your email in our ticketing system, so I checked to see what was going on and found out that your email was not added to our system. So, most probably your email will bounce back.

We added your email to our system already, but it may take up to 1 hour before this takes effect. Try resending your email in an hour. Thanks!

Did you send your message from the email you are registered with on the Nagios Support forum? If you did but it didn't go through, please email our sales team at [email protected]. They will forward your email to us. We will do some digging to see why your email didn't get through. Your email is in the API, so I am not sure what the problem is.
