Thanks Guys,
I mentioned this to our team to add in there proxy and this is response what we got -
We can get our proxy information added to other files as well which has been mentioned by Nagios however as you know the repositories which gets added is communicating to nagios portal and other software sites to download the packages which has to be added to the allowed list in our proxy, we may need it.
Can you please help with this.
Thanks

Configuring your proxy server isn't something that is really in the scope of this forum, your systems administrator is going to have to take care of that portion. What can we do at this point to help you with this issue?

This will be a nightmare to list out due to the mirrors etc.
My advice get an exemption for 1 hour or 2 to open up to all sites and get it done.

Hi amit.ahuja,
We do have the
repo which has some files you can use for offline installs. I am going to warn you that this is still considered "beta" and these are not updated that often. XI5 is not yet available on the repo as well. Hopefully this can help you out, though.

Thanks again, that was helpful I installed all dependencies and then did fullinstall, now its hanging at this state as server is not allowed to make internet call
--2015-10-06 16:33:32-- (try: 3)
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... d64.tar.gz
Connecting to assets.nagios.com|72.14.181.71|:80...
its still try says try:4 -- so is it going to fail the installation or is there workaround for this.
Please suggest
Thanks

I was trying to mix and match which was wrong - I loaded new tar and it failed on DB creation I belive - as I am trying to access
http://xx.xx.xx.xx/nagiosxi
it says -

Run the following from the CLI as root to attempt to repair the DB
and when I run the command on server it complains about -

Can you elaborate on which tar you used? Was this on a clean minimal install? Mixing and matching isn't going to yield the best results.
