Since it will be easier to make the button state savable than it will be to figure out where the bottleneck is, would that be an appropriate resolution? You had indicated in your first post that this should be implemented anyway.

Yes that would solve half the problem. Then it only needs to load once.

Try this and let me know if it works for you, it will hide handled by default.
birdseye.zip
*** Note: This will be reverted on an upgrade.

Go to Admin > Manage Components
- Click the Browse button and select the zip file.
- Click the Upload & Install button.
- Try it out.

Sean and colleagues,

The updated Birseye component loads in one second. Yes, you read that right. ONE. :D THis makes it finally usable for us. It's weird it took so long before, is setting hide handled as default the only thing that has changed?

Any way => Thanks. => I think it would be better to make this the default setting for everyone. Which admin wants to see all the handled problems. In a typical it environment, it's impossible to solve all issues. Some problems are acknowledged for several months.

Grtz

Willem

I just installed this as soon as I red Willem's message. I can confirm, SOOOOOO much quicker and plus not showing handled by default is a definite plus!

Maybe your components didn't get updated? I only changed the code to hide handled by default.

I looked through the SVN log and didn't see anything that would impact it.

This is why I tagged Sean "Dreams in Code" ;)

I swear the difference is huge. Just retested it a few time. Loads almost instantly. Before it took 18 seconds...

Well that's great to hear, it would've been nice to find out what version you had prior so that I could compare your previous files. Here are my changes:

I can tell you the version number was the same. Perhaps there is an issue with components getting upgraded properly during the upgrades, since I had a similar issue with the bw report. It showed proper version, but it wasn't all the latest.
