I trued what you suggested, but it returns

 Failed retrieving status for last build via API (API status line: )

whether I use http or https.

I think I might just call time on this one

I don't want to let you give up - as it's not an in house plugin, we can't fully support it. I would recommend posting on the Github to see if you can reach a resolution through that route with the original creator. It looks like a few people have created forks as well, which may provide a solution. Below are a couple links -
