I'm running 2.0.1 and nagios says that its up to date.
The user configured with those settings is seeing ALL alerts in alert stream, most of which he doesn't have access to.
There is the alert stream, and the list of hosts he has access to.The stream shows a host he's not support to see.

I believe one or the other of these issues is behaving as expected, and I lean more towards the reports working as intended and the alert stream needing to be locked down. I will get confirmation from the developers and get back to you.
Update: It looks like both are bugs - The alert stream should properly limit itself based on the user permissions, and the reports should still work if the contact is not assigned to the host. We will file bug reports for each and get them assigned to the developers.
