There's a checkbox in the trap config that lets the admin choose to send or not in downtime.

Perfect, that should work then. Again I am not 100% sure how it operates at a code level, but if that option is there we can work with it. I'll update this thread once we have the feature request filed.

I have created the feature request for this, ID #7331.
I'll go ahead and close this thread out now, but feel free to open a new one if you ever need assistance in the future.
