The third paragraph in the PDF recommends using the NCPA client for greater functionality over the NSClient++ so I did just that.

but then the check fails.... nothing tells you that the wizard references NSClient++ only.

Yea, that is a bit unclear. I'll see about getting that wording fixed, or having the wizard specify that it uses NSClient.
