If the answer is no, are you able to test from a PC in the same subnet as the XI server?

Do you use a proxy server on your PC?
The PC isn't in the same subnet as the XI server and there isn't a way for me to get a PC in the same subnet. We aren't using a proxy on the PC either.

Are you able to look at the firewall / router logs that separate the PC and the XI server and see if there is any connection limiting going on?

I am, and there doesn't appear to be any connection timing / limiting at all.

Has this problem always occurred or did it suddenly just start?

This has been going on for quite a while (4+ weeks)

Can you please PM over a profile for us to look at? (Admin -> System Profile -> Download Profile)

I'd like to take a deeper look at your environment, to see if anything is standing out of the ordinary.

EDIT: profile received.

In addition to what rkennedy posted, I've seen it where people didn't have the FQDN and shortname in /etc/hosts and didn't have a DNS entry at the remote datacenter and it caused slowness. Double-check that you have those /etc/hosts entries like:

Code: Select all

127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 myxiserver myxiserver.domain.com

Sent you (most of) the profile. Looks like my mrtg.tar.gz file is 2.6M but the PM tool only allows a file size of 1MB or less.

I added the hostname to the end of that string; but still no joy.

We should move this into a ticket so that we can get a remote session setup, please send an email to [email protected] with a descriptive subject and a detailed body and include a link back to this thread.

Thank you
