Ok, we'll try this again. Here's an updated patch, with the patch instructions the same as before.
I modified the proxy configuration to be an installable component. So download the proxy.zip and install it through the Admin->Manage Components menu. After it's installed reload the admin menu and you should see an Admin->Proxy Configuration page where you can specify the proxy address, port, and authorization info. Let me know if you have any questions.

may i have to apply once again the new patch.zip and undo previous one ? or this component is in addition of the previous patch ? maybe both are same ...

The patch will correctly overwrite previous changes. I moved a few things around, so you should just be able to run the patch.sh script as before.

You have the necessary 1.8 patches on your system for the component to work, so that should be taken care of. I put that note in there so I wouldn't forget to do it later for the production release ; )
i can't save proxy settings -> SQL error and i don't know how must i format proxy adress and user password ? could you give me an example ? the : are needed at the end of username and password ?
This is actually a separate, unrelated issue. If you run:
Code: Select all
cd /usr/local/nagiosxi/tools
./fix_postgres_sequences.sh
That should take care of that issue. If you leave the Proxy Configuration page and come back and the settings reloaded into the form, then they have saved correctly. After entering your proxy settings, access the
Admin->Check For Updates page, and run the update check and see if it works.

So just to clarify for the proxy testing:
Download the new zip to the /tmp directory:
cd /tmp
unzip patch.zip
chmod +x patch.sh
./patch.sh
Then access the Admin->Proxy Settings page, and enter your information and click "Update"
Then access the Admin->Check For Updates page, and click the button to "Check Now", and see if it works on your system.
