Based on your nsclient config your client would only accept connections via ssl, this could be confirmed by trying to connect without the -s option with check_nrpe

the reporting in the log file may differ based on the different client setups but if you cant connect to the 192.168.0.4 (server 2008 server) without the -s 1 option you should rest assured you have configured it properly


Also good to see a fellow Australian, Victorian and hopefully hawthorn supporter on here, maybe we should form a Nagios Austrlian user group Box293? maybe you could organise it in your spare time?

if you wanted to confirm 100% do a packet capture on the windows server and you should see the encrypted traffic
