Nagios XI Dashboards Disappeared

I have run the alter table command.

I have nightly backups but I'm not sure how to extract the data you need. I guess I'll have to spin up a database and import the sql correct?

As an alternative I think I can rescue some of my dashboards - the ones that were deployed to other users. If I elevate a users permissions I can deploy them back to the admin account.

If you are doing nightly backups of the filesystem you may have some DB dumps in /store/backups, may want to check there as they are setup on install unless you turn them off.

It appears I turned off local backups. I have nightly backups of the file system and database offloaded to an offsite ftp server. I have the data - I just need to extract what you need. The dumps are large.

The couple of dashboards I was concerned with recovering were completed the day I ran into the bug so are not in any backup. It's not worth spending cycles on this any longer.

As a matter of cleaning things up (just in case) I went ahead and ran the delete of dashboards for my affected user (nagiosadmin). I confirmed there was no affect on dashboards that had been deployed to other users - so at least we learned something.

I recovered previously deployed dashboards to the affected user by promoting other users to admin then deploying their dashboards back to my account (nagiosadmin).

All I have to do now is recreate 2 lost dashboards which is not a big deal.

I hope this bug is fixed in the latest version. I'm upgrading this weekend.

Thank you for the update, the bug is fixed since you ran the alter table command, you should not run into it again. Are we okay to mark this as resolved and lock the topic?
