Hi there,
It looks like the downtime did get scheduled as it did occur at the right time, I just couldn't display the downtime records. It was scheduled for 0900-1600 BST on 8 October 2016.

The only way I can make the records NOT appear on the "Scheduled Downtime" page is if I select a "Start Time" in the future, and don't modify the "End Time" (leave it in the past). When I click on the "Schedule" button, I see the following message:
Successfully added all downtime. It may take up to a minute to show up on the list.
No matter how many times I refresh the page, I don't see any entries. There are no error/warning messages, nothing in the apache error log or in the audit log. I believe this is a bug. If the "End Time" is in the past, you shouldn't be able to submit the form (you should get some type of error/warning message). I already filed an internal bug report about this problem (TASK ID 9734).
FYI - your issue may be completely different... We are still digging into this. How may hosts are you putting in downtime with "one go"? How many services do you have (approximately) on each host?

There were 3 hosts at once - each with approx 20 services

These are not too many hosts/services - I have scheduled a lot more in one go without any issues, so this is not the problem.
