I found out this morning there were also some issues with installs on 7.2. It is unclear to me why there were sometimes issues on 7.2 but not always. I suspect it is just different package versions since 7.2 is just a point in time. That issue is resolved in 5.3.3.
I don't want to publicly state the proposed 5.3.3 release time, but we *should* be measuring in hours, not days at this point. I think it makes sense to wait for 5.3.3 at this point. I'm not sure where you are, but if it is Tuesday and you don't see a 5.3.3 upgrade option, please post again in this thread.

Re: Installation of new nagios error
@netaura, did this resolve your issue?
Re: Installation of new nagios error
D-chkconfigalldaemons fails on the following lines.
Work-around is currently to go into the system, change the bash -e to -x, so it will not fail on first error - and execute D-chkconfigalldaemons - proceed with fullinstall.
Code: Select all
$ sudo systemctl disable selinux
Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory
$ sudo systemctl disable firewalld
Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory-

Re: Installation of new nagios error
We did install the 5.3.1 version successfully, but haven't tried installing the latest version.
But we did however try to upgrade our one other node from 5.2.9 to the latest, now we can't access our gui again.
But the issue has been reported on a new forum.
Thanks

Are we ready to lock this up?netaura wrote:I have successfully installed nagios. The change of -e to -x in the ./D-chkconfigalldaemons seems to have fixed the error.
Thanks!
