Hi,
No, because the problem still occurs today.
When I run "rm -f /tmp/cwpss_checkcpu*" the alert disappear and after a lap of time it appears.

What are the permissions on the file? ls -la /tmp/cwpss_checkcpu

I suspect it may be a permission issue between root / nagios, depending on how the plugin is running.

Is it just this one server reporting the wrong load or are there others causing the same issue?
If it is only this one server, make sure it is patched to the latest level, reset the counters again and reboot the server.
After doing that, run this command to check the server's load without using using the state file. See if it works for you.

Hi,
Only two servers having that problem.
we already reset the counters again and reboot the server : I don't see what it could bring to do that one more time.
Could you please plan a remote session ?

The check_wmi plugin doesn't seem to be the problem, it is gathering data from the Windows server but the server is returning bad data which from what I found could be caused by corrupted counters on the Windows server or that the time is out of sync on the Windows server.

Can you verify that the time for that server is correct.

I found a more comprehensive procedure for repairing the counters on the Windows server.
Log in as an Administrator user and run the following in a command prompt:

    lodctr /R
    cd c:\windows\sysWOW64
    lodctr /R
    winmgmt /clearadap
    winmgmt /verifyrepository
        winmgmt /salvagerepository
    winmgmt /resyncperf
    sc stop WmiApSrv
    sc start WmiApSrv

Also, Microsoft has a WMI Diagnosis Utility that you can install on that server and see if that can find out what the problem is.
