I'm not exactly sure how much I could say about this even if I did know much of anything about the search, BUT I don't know much other than that we are looking and there is a preference for local hires. I suppose it won't hurt to put in a resume/CV:

This was actually one of my first feature requests almost 4 years ago.. But apart from a lot of maybes and unsupported guides how to get it working no news from Nagios...

While the tracker request is different, certainly giving NagVis some general love can't hurt.

recently I moved my Nagios XI server to an fresh machine, and while looking for some news about Nagvis integration I found this one:

Currently, we're looking at June for the 5.5 release. That's tentative though and subject to change.

Yes. Wowzers indeed.
I'm actually going to close this since the discussion is already being had internally. The roadmap and changelogs will be updated with new releases.
