OK that's confusing. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to run this. The file does not show up to be imported and the documentation is confusing as it gets.

OK so I figured out how to do the import. I had to ignore the first part. Now I get this:

Code: Select all

(No output on stdout) stderr: execvp(/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_esensor.pl, ...) failed. errno is 2: No such file or directory
The CFG file processed fine and i wrote the files, verified and saved config. Then added the esensor.

Progress at least.

OK more progress. Noticed that it was looking for the file in libexec. so I placed the .pl file there. Now I just get return code of 13 is out of bounds.

OK got it now and it's working. When I coppied the file the permissions were jacked up. I did a chown to change to apache and did a chmod 0775 to set permissions and it magically started working.

Thanks for your help. I'm going to pound esensors as NONE of this is on their website and their git page is missing half the instructions.

Great to hear it! Sorry for the delay, our support hours are Monday through Thursday, 9AM to 5PM CDT, and Fridays from 9AM to 2PM CDT. Replies received outside of those hours will incur a delay in response.

At any rate, did you have any further (related) questions or are we okay to close this thread?

Close it. The only problem I still have is with esensors as they need to tell me how to fix one thing on a water sensor. Hopefully someone else stumbles upon this thread if they buy new esensors.
