We're doing away with rrd files. You can see all of the public details at https://www.nagios.com/roadmaps/ Right now we are saying Q4, but that is subject to change.
We use pnp .4. I was getting ready to file a request to move to .6, but it turns out this has already be filed and rejected. I don't have any reason for why it was rejected, but I suspect it is because we are moving away from rrd files.

Thanks for the information.
Doing away with RRD files just compounds the issues I have, as I could have reproduced the graphs we currently have by querying the RRD files in Nagios XI.
