Hi,

I Created a user named help1, login to help1 modify the notification as mentioned in the document.
I add help1 contact to IT-Infra group and configurethe host as shown in the screenshot attached.
but not receive alerts when power off the monitored host.

I seems that some thing is missing

@amozahim, You also need to check the box that says "Recieve alerts via email" in the Notification Methods menu. It's right below the Notification Preferences menu. Also, click on a critical service on the home dashboard, go to the Advanced tab, and make sure that the Last Notification field is getting updated.

The Notification by email is enabled, and the notification status last change is changing.

See the attached file.

What is the issue that you are having at the moment? Nagios shows that the notifications are sent, but the contact is not receiving them? Do you see the notification in the Notifications report?

Reports > Available Reports > Notifications > <your host> > Run

You started off with a regular contact, not "xi user", correct? Do you have a help1 user created (Admin > Manage Users), and linked to the help1 contact (CCM > Contacts)? Read more about creating relationships between Nagios Core contacts and Nagios XI users in this document:

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ntacts.pdf

Can you compare the settings of the help1 user and contact and make sure they match - name (case matters), email, notification options, etc.
