I think I found the issue. There was a disabled template which was trying to be added to a host. There was also a hostgroup that was also disabled for a service. I enabled both and applied the configuration which is now working fine. Going back to the licensing problem I found though who should I talk to about the issue?

Apparently someone removed the enterprise license and sales helped troubelshoot this to get it back in place. Feel free to close this. I appreciate the help.
