I havent been able to bring nagios down since last we spoke. I will try to get downtime today.

just a sidenote. I am running mod_gearman if that gives any more insight.

@blariv, Glad it's working now. Keep us updated.
PS: Thanks for the info, but I don't think mod gearman can affect the nagios.lock file.
