I meant in XI is it still set to None in the Inbound mail settings?

Did your dovecot test use no encryption?
Yes and yes. It's set as None and I didn't do anything encryption for the dovecot telnet test.

By chance did you test to see if it works with a response (not just the test function on the inbound settings page)

I think we will have to add an exception in the test to account for the above.

I just realized our exchange mail server now in office 365 is preventing emails to be delivered to our mail server, which is where this nagios_reply email address is pointing to. Therefore, I need to have them allow emails to mail server or create a new inbox so I can test these notifications since currently we can't receive any any reply emails back. It might be some time but once I get it tested will let you know.
