No it is not.
And all you are seeing in the log is an error that a trap was received but is not configured.

Okay, it is setup, and i recieved a trap, which is good, but there is an error that poped up after applying the config

If you are talking about the Malformed command, I'm not sure that is from the trap

Okay, thanks, just strange the switch would all of a sudden start sending out traps. oh well, all is good now, thanks

i do have one more question, since upgrading a couple weeks ago, i am not seeing the errors on the right side like i used to, i get some but not all. as you can see from the two pictures, there are items in the event log, that are not on the birdseye view, on the right hand column. This absolutly started with the upgrade a few weeks ago.

By chance are these hosts in a "handled" state (acknowledged or downtime)?
The "Hiding Handled" is toggled and this was an item that was fixed back in January

They are not in a handled state, not completely, some unused ports on 130.5 that are reporting down are acknowledged, and therefore in the hide handles area.the other switch has nothing in the handled area.

If the hosts are down, then service failures should not show as well as they are a part of the host being down.
If you un-toggle the Hiding Handled, all should show.
