Problems using NAGIOS XI to monitor NAGIOS NA
Re: Problems using NAGIOS XI to monitor NAGIOS NA
Okay, so maybe an overloaded NIC. What is the hypervisor that you're using? Is it possible to get network traffic stats from it and see if utilization is peaking when the Nagios checks are occurring?

Good morning. The hypervisor being used is VMWare. Unfortunately, I only have the tools to collect networks statistics at the Network Interface level on the server I am collecting the statistics on. I will send a inquiry to our VMWare admins to see if they can help..

Stats from the NIC level on the server would be perfect. If you've got a team of VMWare admins, it's likely that the interface isn't being overloaded, at least not without someone being aware of it. But it's always good to check just in case. Then the next thing to check would be the virtual interface of the Nagios VM. Since you're contacting the VMWare admins, also ask what virtual NIC the VM is using.HIINNS wrote:Good morning. The hypervisor being used is VMWare.
