You might also try running this command from your Nagios XI server.
Just to make sure that the port is in an open state, and not filtered or closed.

Attached please find the output. The Nagios server listen the port 5693. I was able to add another Ubuntu 18.04 server successfully using NCPA configuration agent. The only issue is it does not detect the ethernet interface but Windows machine detect the ethernet interface. You can advise us how to fix it for this Ubuntu 18 server.

But this Ubuntu 16.04 server still having issue to add it in Nagios.

Any instruction on below two issue?
- Connection issue to connect Ubuntu 16
- Ethernet is not detecting on Ubuntu 18 though added the agent using NCPA.

In the previous screenshot you posted, it looks like NCPA is only listening on IPv6. Can you send in your ncpa.cfg files for your Ubuntu machines? Also, can you show us a screenshot of the output of ip addr from your Ubuntu 18 machine? I am wondering if there is some configuration that isn't allowing NCPA to see the interface.

Can you post the ncpa.cfg files for your Ubuntu machines (Ubuntu 16 and 18)?

I have attached the ncpa.cfg file from Ubuntu 18 for your reference. We need to add the ping service for this agent.

Regarding Ubuntu 16 there is some issue in this VM and just leave it for now.
