Thanks for that.
We have noticed another issue. A lot of soft checks are failing causing 3K of the services to go to critical and then minutes later they go back to normal.
Can you please suggest what is causing this and how it can be fixed permanently?

That would be a primary reason I could see this happening, beyond that I would need to know what types fo checks there were and what types of responses you received

We didn't have any network issues at that time. No other systems were effected except for Nagios.
These were for most NRPE checks that returned a "Return code error" and some "connection refused from peer".
Then they automatically get fixed.

We have seen this happen repetitively. We haven't updated the version of Nagios to 5.7.2 yet. It's still at 5.7.1.
Could this be the cause for it?

Please PM a fresh copy of your profile so we can take a look at what's occurring. Include the /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log file for a day when this occurred or from /usr/local/nagios/var/archives if it occurred in the past.
