No firewall is in between, Nagios has a connection to the EMC, you see this because the other configured services are running well.

for us the priority of this issue is low, we have decided not to use this single service check, it is somewhat silly and not nice. When ever i find some extra time in the future i will try to solve this, but for the moment i have other thing on my radar.
So many thanks for your help so far, maybe i'll pick up this later again.
