Can you run the following and post /tmp/perms.txt

Code: Select all

ls -lR /usr/local/nagios/etc > /tmp/perms.txt

This is really bizarre, the permissions look correct but trying to discover why you are getting the Cannot open/overwrite service configuration files (check the permissions)! error

If you go to the CCM -> Services
Sort by the "Status" column

do you see any items that are marked "Not Applied"?

Also, if you sort by the "Config Name" column, are there any that are blank?

Under Status I have 1 service that is not applied
[u'dummy1.server.com' CPU Stats Yes Not Applied

Under Config Name there is nothing blank, everything has a config name

I have deleted the service that was not applied [u'dummy1.server.com
and i have reran the reconfigure_nagios,.sh script

While the script was running I thought I should have checked under hosts before starting it

I noticed 1 host had nothing (blank) for the config name
Should I have delete this and rerun the script again, but looks like it has run successfully
