Hello,

We checked the plugin suggested by you. Also, we checked few other logs related plugins as well but all of them giving same error as below:

Log check error: Log file C:\\app\\oracle\\diag\\rdbms\\xposprm\\xposprm\\trace\\alert_xposprm does not exist!

Below are the details:

We are using NCPA agent and want to monitor text file generated in Windows C drive.

C:\app\oracle\diag\rdbms\xposprm\xposprm\trace (location)
alert_xposprm.txt -- filename
10.15.0.15 - server

Please help us with the command.

Could it be that the nagios user that is looking for the file does not have permissions to see it? Please try another user in the command or elevate the nagios user's permissions for that file.

Hello,

We changed the permission as well, but still same error.

I really feel I should go with some other plugin. Could you please suggest here.
Is it possible for you to take remote session and try helping us out?

Let's transition this issue to a ticket. That will allow us to establish a remote session so that we can bring this to a more swift resolution.

To open a support ticket:
https://support.nagios.com/tickets/

Others have had success with check_logfiles and check_log, so I thought those plugins might work well for you too. Maybe this works differently on an Oracle machine.
