For 1) did you do that on your offloaded DB system or the XI system? It should be done on the offloaded DB server if you didn't. If not, do that and test again.
If that doesn't resolve it, please create a ticket for this and include a link back to this forum thread so we can get a remote session setup:

Yes, i did it on the VM hosting the DB.
