this config worked for me. things are looking good for now.

One last query : which is the right location to keep all our Nagios SSL certs:
1) /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/certs
OR
2) /etc/pki/tls/certs

You can store them either place, really. As long as Apache is configured to use the correct path it should work.

The only real difference I can see from a Nagios XI perspective is that when you store them under /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/certs, they're included in backup tarballs when Nagios XI does a self-backup.
