The original syntax I has above worked.

Seems like there is a bug where if the UI Apply fails it doesn't actually tell anybody it failed.

Glad you are back in business.

I will make the Devs aware that there is no validation that the *.conf files
get written to /usr/local/nagioslogserver/logstash/etc/conf.d during
the Apply Configuration. They may see this as an enhancement
so keep in mind that the decision to implement an enhancement is at
the discretion of our development team.
