I have that configured. When we click on it we are sent to a page that says "Nagios Rapid Response" which has the host/service and the error listed. It also has some actions listed. How would I configure the page so that it either has information about the host configuration amd a list of steps to take to fix the issue. The other option would be to just have URL that would take you to that info listed there.

Is there a way to modify this page so it does that? Or is there a better way and I am just missing something.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to add to the page, we don't have built in any ability to edit this page, but you could add a feature request to our tracker

I have configured the notifications to alert on that already, but what would be the best way to configure the page "Nagios Rapid Response" so that it has more detail then just the alert. I am looking for way to put a set of steps that the user would go through in response to the alert to fix it. Perhaps some details on the server itself. Is there away to add a URL or two to this page that could have that info?

Thanks.

When you go to the "Nagios Rapid Response" page, you can select one of the following actions from the drop-down menu:

Code: Select all

View Host Detail
Acknowledge
Schedule Downtime
Disable Notifications
Also, clicking on the host name will take you to the "Host Status Detail" page.

Please, see the picture below:

I know you get that, but that is not what I am looking for.

What I would like is a way to include a link or information about the alert. Like a disk is full alert. When they get that email, it would have a link in it that they could click and it would take them to a page that would show them how to log into the server to verify the alert. What directories to check for large log files, how to remove such files, etc....

Basically a way to easily get to information about the host or service so that they can resolve the issue quickly by following a written procedure. I looked into the action_url and notes_url, but you can not seem to add them to a notification email. They also seem buried in the service page and I can not really figure out how users can easily get to them.

Can the response page be modified so that it can take notes or have the action_url listed?

Sorry that is not currently available, as I had mentioned before
