Hmm, can you post the file permissions on /usr/local/nagios/etc

ok I just manually re added those devices, and only 169 showed up out of the 514

who can I pm a copy of my hostgroup files to? I hesitate to put that info out there.

When you say this do you mean you edited the file, or added them through the CCM?
You should only be adding these through the CCM or you can import a file with the modifications, but after an import you CANNOT just modify the config files manually

ccm/hostgroups/ the hostgroup and then I manually clicked clicked clicked. I have given up on the import option. the sad thing is that I have to head out, i'll follow up tomorrow good sirs.

guy's can I get a support tkt on this? I think it's one of those issues that falls into "a picture is worth a thousand words situation. The biggest concern we have after we get this resolved is to find out how it happened. The HG has been fine for months and then it bombed out.

A post to the customer forum gets the same priority as an email support ticket. Here's what I'd like you to send me as a PM, or email
[email protected] if you have a problem attaching any of the files.
- Apply configuration one more time just to make sure the config files are up to date.
- Your latest configuration snapshot: Access the Admin->Config Snapshots page, and fetch the latest
tarball
- Access the CCM->Hostgroups page, and click the "View Config" icon for the hostgroups. Send me that file as well.
