No problem,

What distro are you running on? We should grab you the ssl packages necessary. Afterwords from within the extracted directory, run the following once you configure:

make

make install

I would like to confirm the issue closed!

I was in fact missing the NRPE plugin as well as ssl packages.

Once those were installed my monitoring is back to green!
