We are facing the similar sissues again on this server where in the load on the host is between 8-10. I have just check the monitoring engine status and I see that the host & service latency are at 166secs and 175 secs respectivly and I have come across such high values only today, Can you please suggest why the latency times have gone so high and how we can keep them in check?

If you have added more checks since the last estimate in this thread, yo may need to increase the provisioned resources as the previous number of checks was pushing the limit with 4 cores. You may want to look into which services are the biggest offenders:
