Are you using https?
Have you changed any of the database credentials?

No, I only use http.
Did not change any thing on database credential.

Run the following two commands and post the output:

Weird. I just saw the host appearing in Nagios console view now after reset command. The one I had problem on adding it by applying configuration. Why? Should I try adding another host to see if same problem happens? Or need to check a few more things before doing so?

Add another host and check back with us with your results.

Hi,

I just tested again adding one host, and got the error right away.

Waiting for configuration verification....
Backend login to the Core Config Manager failed.

The host obviously was not added in successfully. Please help.

Run the following commands in terminal:
If this doesn't solve your issue, go to: Admin->Reset Security Credentials, and click on "Update Credentials", without changing anything else on this page.

Hi,

I just added one windows 2008 server and one Centos system to be monitored hosts successfully. Thank you. However, the windows 2008 server's monitored services/items have the status showning "cannot fetch the information from server" warning, so no status info for these items. These items are disk usage, memory usage and UPtime. Only ping has the response with currect status info.

Another question is for Ubuntu system, can I install the same nrpe agent with Centos/RedHat on it to make it working?

This is a whole different issue. Did you install the agent on the remote server and open ports 12489 and 5666?
