Another question. I accidentually stumbled on npush and the addon says it will be distributed in nagios XI 2014. Any news on this?

I knew somebody was going to notice that... :x
Unfortunately, in it's present state, it didn't make the cut. Our commercial products are held to strict standards, and the current rendition of NPush wasn't ready for primetime.

It wouldn't have been right for us to release it in the current state, nor hold up the rest of the 2014 awesomeness to wait for NPush to be re-worked.

We do intend on re-working NPush, and once it is fully ready for primetime it will be added to Nagios XI..

No problem Scott. In fact we are already distributing software and generating nsclient configs with quick actions and I feared all my work would be for nothing ;)

It is there!
Great, I need to check that :).
I can't find it in my test installation of XI 2014R1.0RC1. Is there something special to do? The wizard is version 1.7.

Thank you.

Was this a new install or an upgrade? You should be on the network switch and router wizard 2.0.

Yeah, what Spenser said. I did an upgrade and my router wizard was updated to 2.0 without me having to do anything. It does say you are running 2014 in the lower left of the screen, right?

It was a upgrade from the latest 2012 version 32bit in a test virtual machine.

Yes, it shows Nagios XI 2014R1.0RC1 but it seems that it kept the old wizard by upgrade. Is there a way to download version 2.0 manually?

Thank you both.

If you still have the tar extracted, it should be available in /tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/xiwizards/wizards/switch.zip. Just upload that to the interface to update it!

Thanks, the installation worked the way you described but it doesn't call the script in a right way:

[root@localhost ~]# /usr/bin/cfgmaker --show-op-down --noreversedns --zero-speed '100000000' --enablesnmpv3 --snmp-options=:::::3 --username='xxxx' --authprotocol='sha' --authpassword='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' --privprotocol='aescfb128' --privpassword='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' --contextengineid=0 '192.168.120.126'
--base: SNMP V3 libraries found, SNMP V3 enabled.
Only des, 3des, 3desede, aes, aes128 are defined for --privprotocol at /usr/bin/cfgmaker line 1540.

Could you please reproduce this and fix it till the final version?

If you read my previous statement, I take it back. We believe you may have an incomplete upgrade going on here. It would be best to move this to a new thread, since its an issue not really questions. But in that thread, if you could tell us exactly what it says for version in the lower left please.
