Showing list of host names that have been added
Re: Showing list of host names that have been added
Rats. Scott beat me to the punch. I was just going to ask you about IP space. You can certainly change your IPs to be the NAT IPs, but then you need to figure out how to extract that information. I'll be honest - if the purpose is to have a map that shows your data centers, and your data centers never move, I think it makes more sense to stop putting energy into this and to simply have pie chart or something else that shows alerts by data center (the IP of which you already have) and then you can drill down by clicking pieces of the pie.

Re: Showing list of host names that have been added
I found this article https://blog.vladionescu.com/geo-locati ... -networks/
My question was if I were to recompile the database the way it's specified there, would it be overwritten?

The way that blog post describes it, it augments the data, not overrides it. So you could certainly do that. You will be venturing outside the scope of Nagios Log Server and the support you would receive from this forum at that point.
If you wish, my company would be glad to help you out.

I think I will give it a shot. Having the map working isn't really a requirement for me, but at this point it's more like experimentingeloyd wrote:The way that blog post describes it, it augments the data, not overrides it. Thanks for all the information.
