check_bpi & BPI component

Just sent an update to show the proper fixes for BPI, correct date and version number in the CHANGES file.

TPS tasks-
========
7845 "BPI - Group health shown as 100% when essential member is in critical state"
- This was already finished and added to the BPI component (v2.4.4) and was not noted in the CHANGES file so I added it just now. The date should be correct also.

7843 - "Better integration between Nagios XI and Nagios BPI"
- This has yet to be approved and we are thinking we don't want to change the permissions on the BPI at the moment. It would require a decent amount of changes. I chatted with another dev about it and we think that we are going to keep the task in the system, but this will be something that would need to be done after XI 5.3.0 is finished since there are other permission changes that need to be made in other parts of XI that are more urgent.

7739 - "Add the ability to customize the BPI messages"
- I just had this approved. This should be easier to implement, but will be a little while until the next release. Should be able to be done before 7843 is being worked on.

Can't give you a time range for when 7739 will be finished, but it is on the roadmap.

I understand. Permissions are a big topic. I had a small discussion about it with your colleague (https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 16&t=36970). So if I get it right - 5.3.0 will contain some permission changes? Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm happy that 7739 was approved. If possible, I can help you test it or provide some feedback.

Just one more thing - could you check status of TASK ID 7687. This would be very helpful until 7843 is implemented and seems to be quite easy (mainly user interface changes using code that is in another parts of UI).

This is correct - there are going to be some permission changes in XI 5.3.0. Only after this is done, we can work on task 7843 - "Better integration between Nagios XI and Nagios BPI", as lgroschen already mentioned.

Just one more thing - could you check status of TASK ID 7687

I just checked with our developers -there are no updates at this time. They haven't worked on the task yet as they've been working on a higher priority projects. Feature requests have a lower priority than bug fixes. There is no guarantee when/if they are going to be implemented.
