I'm not exactly sure which installation document to which you refer, but I found https://github.com/op5/check_vmware_api ... /README.md

Installation not asking me which directory I need to install the executable files
root@nagmonusdev1:(02-20 12:28): /root/vmware-vsphere-cli-distrib
# ./vmware-install.pl

http_proxy=http://myproxy.mydomain.com:0000 .

ftp_proxy not set. please set environment variable 'ftp_proxy' e.g. export
ftp_proxy=http://myproxy.mydomain.com:0000 .

When I try to find the vmware-vcli
