If you see my earlier response, in it the return states there are unassigned shards... Is that a problem because I am not receiving any alerts...

https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=469, potential cause #4: unassigned Shards. Unassigned shards are normal with a single node and wouldn't cause problems with alerts.

The alert configuration is saved in the nagioslogserver index, which Matt pointed out earlier as being corrupt. Now that the status is yellow, I'd be curious to see fresh logs.

Now that the Alerts have been restored to the server, are they functioning for you?
If the server up and running for you and all of the issues are resolved?

Do alerts work if you create new ones? How about if you click the icon to run the alert immediately(second icon from the left under Actions)?

Try running:

Code: Select all

tail -f /usr/local/nagioslogserver/var/jobs.log
for a few minutes. You should see messages like "Running command run_alerts...". While this is running try manually running the alerts again by clicking the run now icon mentioned previously.

Finally, please send screenshots showing the settings of an alert that isn't working.

If I click on Run alert now, I got alert via email... But, I observed that all the alerts last ran on May 1st... After that alerts did not run...

Should I manually kick all the Jobs OR is there any automated way to do it?

Let me know...

Thanks!

Also, I just observed that even after manually kicking of all the Jobs, I see the alerts are not executing as per time specified... They are required to be kicked off manually everytime...
