There are two places(line 700 AND 443) in index.php that define the user types and we have only edit one to my knowledge thus far. I've setup an object (not a typical user object) and was able to get it to display as a user by editing these two lines. Add hpemployee, hpperson, ntuser the the list of types and units, test, and let me know your results.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

The latest changes didn't make a visual difference.
We'll just stick to the manual method, as access based on ldap groups is not available, its less important.

Thank you for the update. As I mentioned before, ldap setups can be tricky and this turned out to be especially true here. Sorry we couldn't get to the root of it but fortunately we found a work around that works for you.
