this is one possible cause as I had mentioned before.

When you add new times it does take a fair bit more processing for a short period to get the items all added and in the database and the monitoring engine must be restarted each time you finish a configuration wizard.

The processing of this has been sped up considerably in 5.7.3 which was just released today, I would highly recommend updating to that version
