there is no nsclient.log file on the exchange machine

should be in C:\Program Files\NSClient++

Can you also show the actual command that you are running and the output of it in the command line? Please, review this link if you have difficulties with that.

I tried rerunning the nsclient install and now i do not see the service on the exchange server.
