Both max_execution_time and max_input_time were already set to 300. Because you're seeing timeouts, I increased them each to 400.
I also set the BPI Sync NDO Startup Timeout to 600, as suggested.
After restarting nagios and httpd, I attempted to sync: both Hostgroups and Servicegroups were emptied, and I had to manually sync them.
Just to verify the settings, I returned the php.ini settings to 300 and bounced the services again, then tried with just the BPI Sync NDO Startup Timeout set to 600: it again lost all hostgroups and servicegroups, so I disabled "Sync all hostgroups and servicegroups on apply config."
Thank you,

Hello @lazzarinof
Thanks for following up, let's keep the settings and want to go ahead and run through the sudoers repair, we are suspecting that there is a superuser config that is not present.
Please follow the support doc:
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=533&show_category=44
Please let us know how things look.
Thanks,
Perry

Re: Having issues with BPI again, post upgrade to 5.8.5
Good afternoon Perry,
I followed the directions at https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=44 (the profile build was working, but something else may have been causing issues, so I still followed through).
Everything seemed to be going smoothly, except for.
The only nagiosxi.sudoers I could find was located in root, so I appended from root/nagiosxi.sudoers to /etc/sudoers.
I tested again, and it blanked out the hostgroups/systemgroups again. So no luck on this one.
I then pulled the system profile gain, and have sent it to you in a PM.
Thank you,
